Basketball in Canada

A game we know from the inside

School basketball tours in New Zealand and overseas, planned by people who know the game from the inside. Cole spent time as general manager of the Taranaki Airs, and basketball has toured New Zealand with us as part of a school group from Buenos Aires. We plan basketball the way we plan every code: games against school and club sides at your level, gym time between them, and the two teams together afterwards. If you are thinking about the United States, that is a newer destination for us and we plan each tour there from scratch. Tell us what you are after and we will be honest about what we can line up.

Canada is a strong choice for a New Zealand school that wants something different from the usual trip across the Tasman. In British Columbia, rugby and field hockey are part of school life, and Vancouver gives a touring party mountains, coast and city in one place. We have people on the ground in Canada and tour plans for rugby and hockey that we shape around your team's level and your term dates. It works the other way too. If you are a Canadian school thinking about New Zealand, we would love to talk.

Basketball Tours in Canada

10 to 21 days

Basketball tours to Canada for school and club teams. The game was invented by a Canadian, James Naismith, and the country has taken it to heart, with school and club programmes that now send players to the top of the sport. Canada is a destination where we have people on the ground, though basketball there is something we would plan fresh for your team. Tell us your level and when you can travel, and we will be honest about what we can line up. When to go: school basketball in Canada is a winter sport, played from about late November to March, so a December or January tour lands in season.

Before you ask

Questions, answered

How much does a tour cost?

Every tour is quoted individually because every tour is built around your team — sport, level, dates and budget. Tell us what a great trip looks like and we will come back with an honest price and a first draft itinerary.

Can we customise our itinerary?

Yes — no two tours are the same. Every Brock Sports tour starts with your team, your sport and your goals, and we build it with you, fixture by fixture.

What is included in the price?

Every quote sets it out plainly. A typical tour covers games, training, accommodation, transport, breakfasts and dinners, and the cultural and sightseeing programme. Lunches and personal travel insurance are usually separate, and we will spell out anything else that is.

Which meals are included?

Breakfasts and dinners are included as standard. Lunches are usually at your own cost, so players can choose for themselves.

What happens if the weather turns?

We adjust the day and offer a suitable alternative wherever we can. It is New Zealand, so we plan with the weather in mind.

Do you run multi sport school tours?

Yes, it is the tour we run most. Recent school groups have travelled with rugby, hockey and volleyball teams together, and with rugby, basketball, hockey and handball. Boys and girls teams tour as one party and play on the same days where we can.
